– Stéphanie, how long have you been a member of AllTheContent News Agency? Where did AllTheContent place your production?
I started working with AllTheContent News Agency back in January 2015. For me, it was a breath of fresh air because at the time I was working almost exclusively on marketing content for my various clients. Although I had already been translating content for a blog and for an online magazine, AllTheContent gave me the opportunity to turn my translation and localisation skills to a diverse array of topics, chiefly for Yahoo! websites.
– Could you tell us a little bit more about you, your education and your career so far?
My degree in English language, literature and civilisation took me across the English Channel, to Wales, where I spent several years teaching French as a foreign language, as well as absorbing the Anglo-Saxon culture and way of life. I finished this adventure and started a new one as a translator when I moved back to France. Since then, I have been working with a variety of clients across the world, mainly in the fields of education, marketing, news content and child care.
Besides my work, I am married with three young children who are also bilingual, my husband being British. We love travelling, movies and we all share a passion for books. One more reason why working with AllTheContent News Agency is so fulfilling for me as a person!
– What would you say, in a sentence, to convince other journalists and talents to join our network?
If you prefer the exciting over mundane, variety over run-of-the-mill, friendly over merely someone to do business with, then AllTheContent News Agency fits the bill more than any other.
– Can you give us your impression about working with ATC?
As a translator, whenever I receive a request to work with AllTheContent, I take it with appetite because I know it will be a chance to work on an engaging subject where I can use my skills. Due to the type of content, there is a lot of localisation involved, making it more interesting as it doesn’t require simply translation skills. I particularly enjoy the need to conduct research and the freedom to adapt the content to a target audience. The Head of Content is a pleasure to work with, which is a real plus. Working with Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and superheroes is also a nice experience, even if only virtually!
