Clement Charles talks on the Swiss radio RTS La Première!

Clement Charles has been interviewed by Laurent Bastardoz on the Swiss national radio La Première, during the show “Le Journal du matin”.

The topic of the show was the “trash talking”, well known phenomenon in sport but now used to create the buzz on social media around sport celebrities, referring to the latest clash between Nick Kyrgios and Stanislas Wawrinka.

As a social network and media expert, Clement Charles explained that sportsmen are now using “trash talking” “to destabilize their adversary, to gain popularity and to attract the attention on themselves”. Now with social media, it has become a “tool that is manipulated” to divert the media attention from negative facts and that can sometimes clean up their public image.
